Browsing and contacting us

You can read our guides without creating an account. Technical connection information, including IP addresses, requested pages, request times and browser information, supports website delivery, security and troubleshooting. Hosting and delivery use OVHcloud and Cloudflare.

If you email us, we process your email address and message to answer your request. Do not include personal information that is unnecessary for your question.

Website operation and security rely on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Correspondence is processed to answer your request on this basis or to perform a contract. Legal obligations are handled under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Optional analytics relies on consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Storage and optional analytics

Your theme preference is stored as ogrodio-theme until you change it or delete browser data. The analytics choice and its date use ogrodio-cookie-consent-us-v1 in localStorage and the ogrodio-consent-saved-us-v1 cookie. The choice is valid for up to 365 days; local entries may remain until replaced or deleted. Choices on ogrodio.com are separate from the Polish and German publications, the app and the shop. Necessary technical Cloudflare cookies, such as cf_clearance, may support security checks.

Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, starts only after analytics consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. This publication uses its own measurement ID, G-5HS197ZRPJ. It measures visits, traffic sources and use of the publication through page addresses, device and browser information and approximate location. Cookies _ga and _ga_* may last up to two years. Our code does not configure cross-domain visit linking. Advertising consent modes remain disabled.

Ahrefs Web Analytics, provided by Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., Singapore, also starts only after analytics consent and uses a dedicated publication measurement key. It measures page visits, links, traffic sources, browser and device information and approximate location. We provide the page path without query parameters. The provider states that it sets no cookies of its own and discards raw IP addresses after processing. Its aggregate statistics remain available while we use the service.

Optional analytics scripts and non-essential device storage are not activated before consent. Storage strictly necessary for a service you request is distinguished from optional analytics under applicable device-access rules, including Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law. Rejecting analytics does not prevent reading our guides.

You can reject analytics or change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawal reloads the page to stop analytics and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies on this domain. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier consent-based processing.

Other Ogrodio services

Links to the plant catalog and garden application lead to ogrodio.app. Visiting this publication does not create a garden account. The app describes account storage, uploaded photos, weather and optional plant analysis in its own English privacy policy.

Recipients and international transfers

OVHcloud infrastructure in the EEA, Cloudflare, the email provider and optional analytics providers described above receive data required for their tasks. Public authorities receive data when required by law. Providers may act as processors or as separate controllers for their own purposes.

External providers may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States and Singapore. Where personal data is transferred, applicable adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and necessary supplementary measures are required. Contact the controller for information or a copy of the relevant safeguards.

Retention

Security logs are generally retained for up to 12 months, and ordinary correspondence for up to 24 months after a matter closes. Dispute-related records may be needed until resolution or the applicable limitation period. Privacy choices are retained for up to one year. Where analytics is enabled, our published maximum for Google Analytics user and event data is 14 months; aggregate reports may remain longer.

Questions about your data

For privacy questions or requests concerning your personal data, contact the controller at [email protected]. Describe the request and the relevant service so we can identify the processing concerned.

Subject to applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time. Contact [email protected]. No data protection officer has been appointed.

You can complain to a supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. The Polish controller's authority is the President of UODO.
