We prepare and review original gardening guides. English content is maintained separately from the Polish and German editions, rather than published as automatic translations.
Advice should describe the conditions in which it works. Gardens across the United States have different climates, frost dates, water conditions and growing seasons. We distinguish cold-winter, mild-winter and tropical conditions where relevant, and include both US customary and metric measurements.
We review botanical identity, growing requirements and safety claims. Recommendations about pesticides, invasive species or restrictions must account for the relevant location and current product label.
We may update a guide after review. Publication and update dates appear on articles. If you notice an error, send the article address and the detail that needs checking to our editorial team.
